.cube
.cube is the standard 3D LUT format used by most grading and editing tools for cross-platform color transforms.
General-purpose cross-platform LUT exchange.
When to use it
- DaVinci Resolve, Premiere, After Effects, Final Cut, and most editors that support 3D LUTs.
- Consistent look propagation across teams because it is widely supported.
How to apply
- Export .cube at 17³, 33³, or 65³ from the workspace.
- Import the file into your grade project via LUT browser/picker.
- Apply as Input LUT or creative layer based on pipeline needs.
Compatibility
- Most grading and editing software in our supported stack.
- Best choice when you need one file to work across multiple apps.
Caveats
- Some apps read default LUT slots differently; verify preview on a single clip first.
- Large files can slightly increase cache load in weak preview machines.
